With help of the research team at Syfy/Chiller, we administered a survey to assess how successful the new design of chillertv.com is.

Last year, 996 adults between the ages of 18 and 54 who have cable/satellite/fiber optic were surveyed in a monthly tracking study using NBCU Entertainment’s online research panel, Viewer’s Voice.

Summary

When shown side by side, the new design was preferred over the old one. The new design's picture tiles stood out positively, and it is more likely to be seen as “high-quality,” “cinematic,” “thrilling,” “scary,” “exciting,” and “engrossing.”

The new design was perceived more appealing to the horror viewers, showing that it has the potential to attract more horror fans to Chiller's new website.

Respondents thought the new design was engrossing and cinematic. They found that the layout was clean, organized, and easy to navigate. The overall design was visually appealing and attention-grabbing.

They enjoyed seeing information relating to recognizable shows, movies, or actors on large tiles. They also noted that fonts used in the new design was easy to read, and captions displayed on the tiles are helpful.

Finally, they stated that the amount of content available on the page was informative.

71% of the respondents thought the new design was suitable as an authority in the horror genre. Respondents also associated the new design with adjectives such as thrilling, scary, exciting, and fun.
